What to Expect With Metal Braces
The first step of getting your braces is taking records. The team at Lively & Napoli Orthodontics will collect photos, X-rays, and digital scans of your mouth. Next, Dr. Napoli will examine your mouth to fully understand your case.
After the X-Ray and first free consultation, Dr. Napoli will use this information to create your customized treatment plan. Your plan will include how each tooth needs to move to get it in the best possible position.
For example, if you have some teeth that need to tilt, we'll place those brackets differently than those for teeth that need to turn.
After attaching your brackets, Dr. Napoli or our expert team will insert the wire, bending it to create precise movements, with elastic bands to hold it in place.
As your orthodontist adjusts the archwire, it applies pressure to the teeth, causing them to move into the correct position. You'll visit our office in Stuart for regular adjustment appointments and to ensure that the treatment is progressing as planned.
