The American Association of Orthodontists and Dr. Vince Napoli recommend that your child get their first orthodontic evaluation at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age seven.
Your child's teeth have developed enough by this age for our expert orthodontists to detect subtle problems with emerging teeth and jaw growth before your child loses all their baby teeth.
If your child’s check-up reveals that their bite is in good shape, we won’t recommend treatment. Or, if problems are emerging, we suggest monitoring your child’s growth and development to start treatment when the time is right.
